This tournament has always seen the Dutch performing well, as they are in their homeland, and this year should be no exception. There will be singles, and doubles championships with the semi-finals beginning Friday, the 16th, as well as the men's doubles, the men's singles and the mixed doubles competitions. One player that is key on the court is Yik-Man Wong, who has decided not to play because of a foot injury. Last year, the winner of the women's singles was Yao Jie, but this year it could be anyone's game, as some of these players are Olympic quality.

Other players that you may want to keep an eye on as the Yonex Dutch Badminton Open Live plays in the Almere Topsportcentrum include Dutch competitors Judith Meulendijks, Eric Pang, Dicky Palyama and many others.
