Watch online Streaming of Tour du Limousin Live event of ASO/UCI Cycling Live held from 17th August 2010 to 20th August 2010. The focus for him, Thomas Lofkvist and Kjell Carlström later this month with be the Vuelta a España but before then this four-stage race over a total of 610.5 kilometres offers valuable preparation. That trio are joined by Dario Cioni, Russell Downing, Serge Pauwels and Morris Possoni, with Dan Hunt the DS in charge. Chris Froome had also been pencilled in to take part for Team Sky but in a late change of plan he's now headed off to the Eneco Tour.

Looking at the other teams involved, another man continuing his comeback from a Tour de France injury and gearing up for the Vuelta is Saxo Bank's Frank Schleck who broke his collarbone at Le Tour. There's also an understandably strong French contingent which should make its presence felt in the hillier stages - such as double Tour de France stage winner Sylvain Chavanel and polka dot jersey hero Anthony Charteau plus the likes of Jerome Pineau and Pierrick Fedrigo, the latter a two-time winner of the Tour du Limousin.

The second stage sees the race go into individual time trial mode. The 45.1km loop from Saint Amand-Montrond goes uphill virtually straight away as the route rises from 159 metres to 284m within the first 4.5km. The third stage final two tests are similar climbs (Cote de Cublac - 3.3km at 5.7% and Cote des Palinières - 2.5km at 5.6%) and just for good measure the stage is rounded off with an uphill finish into Mansac. 16:00 until 17:30(CET). The final stage starts up at 523 metres and that's virtually the high point of the stage. There are three climbs (two cat-2 and one cat-3) and they ramp up as the day goes on - starting out at 3.0%, then 5.5% before the final climb of the race up the Côte de Verneuil which is 2km at 6.1%.
