European Pool Championships Live

The European Pool Championships live for Seniors and Ladies will be from August 28^th, to September 6^th. It takes place in Leende, Netherlands, and while the entrants pay 110 Euros to enter, they have a chance to win quite a bit more as they participate in this year's championship. The tournament consists of Senior's Teams, Senior's Straight Pool which will end on August 30^th, as we as Seniors 8-Ball on September 1^st. Then, Ladies 8 Ball will go from August 31^st to September 1^st. Ladies 9 Ball from the 2^nd through the 3^rd. Senior's 9 Ball will be from August 29^th to 30^th.

In the ladies 8-Ball the top seed is Pia Vahasoyrinki while number 2 is Birgit Reimann. They are also the top seeds in the ladies 9-Ball. The top seed in the Senior 8 Ball is Holger Gries, and number two is Karl Hanscho. In the Seniors 9 Ball Kent Karlsson is top seed while the number two is Thomas Radakovits. In Seniors Straight its Gunther Geisen and Karl Hanscho, and there are fourteen nations participating in the teams event, including Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Norway, Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Finland and the Czech Republic.

The last pool event was the EFBF Junior Team Cup and participants that ended up ranked number one included Tristan Bialuschewski, Tobias Hoiss, Marlin Kohler and Lars Kuckherm. This ends the events for 2009, with the next event being the European Championships March 17^th - 28^th 2010 for Men, Women and Wheelchair. After that will come the EPBF Nations Cup 2010 in June.
