Roller Hockey World Championship 2009 Live

Two championships make up the premier event in the world of rink hockey, an A Championship as well as a B. Group A is made up of the sixteen top teams in the world, while group B contains the sixteen lower level teams. Each championship alternates, and this year it is the A championship. The top three on the B Championship short list are promoted to the following year's A list, while the lower three on the A are relegated.

The winners of the 2007 Group A Championship were Spain, Switzerland and Argentina and three teams that won't be competing in this year's Group A Championship are Angola, France and Brazil. In 2008 Group B saw three teams rise to the occasion to play in this year's event, the United States, Netherlands and Columbia.
