World Cup Engelberg Live

Tis the season for Winter Sports World Cup Events and this weekend we are showcasing two of the best. Cross Country Skiing has the World Cup Rogla while Ski Jumping goes forward with the World Cup Engleberg the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, December 19^th and 20^th. In Ski Jumping the competitors take off down the inrun and hit the ramp going at amazing speeds to fly as far as possible. The competitors just aren't judged on speed and distance however, but also on the style in which they complete the jump.

The ski jump competitions for the World Cup events such as the Engleberg this weekend involve the normal hill competitions which are around 300 feet and with racers reaching distance of around 360 feet. Then there are the large hill competitions which add another 100 feet to the hill as well as another 120 to the jump and ski flying competitions.
