World Cup Sapporo Live

This weekend we have the World Cup Sapporo which is one of the World Cups in Ski Jumping, which is part of the Winter Sports circuit. Winter sports events hold World Cups during the winter months and then move onto the World Championships which are held every two years, as well as participating in the Winter Olympic Games which are held every four years, and this year is one of those held in Vancouver Canada. Ski Jumping is one of the most exciting of all the Winter Sports to watch, with competitors racing down a ramp and then jumping to see how far they can make it. Not only are the athletes judged on how far they jump, but they are also judged on style, how well they complete the jump. The competition consists of Normal Hill events in which the skiers can reach between 260 to 330 feet and the Large Hill Competitions which distances can be reached of 390 to 430 feet. There are also Ski Flying Competitions.
