The first women's event of the British Squash Professionals Association Series for 2009, starts on June 22nd, from Wimbledon Raquets Club, and the field includes some giants from the women's side, with world number five Alison Waters and Lauren Briggs, number 20, playing. The men have played four events, with Adrian Grant in first place on the leaderboard after playing two games. He has thirteen points and is tied with number two on the board, Andy Whipp. Daryl Selby holds third, and is tied with ten points with Robbie Temple and Chris Ryder, who are fourth and fifth on the board.

The past four weeks have gone well, with John Rooney on day two being aware of the fact that just a single game stood between him and the final, and he used that confident to beat Shaun Le Roux. Robbie Temple got his final ticket against Peter Bilson, who was able to keep up with Temple until he really got going, then got lost in Robbie Temple's energy and style of play. The third match pitted Jethro Binns and Adrian Grant face off, which took five sets to end, with Grant winning the match and five ES points. Match four had Andy Whipp going up against Ageel Rehman, and that was a match that was played superbly, with Whipp as the winner.

The men's pool stage ended with Shaun Le Roux beating Jethro Binns, with Le Roux taking home 3 Elite Series points, then Peter Bilson faced off against Ageel Rehman, who also took 3 ES Points. The men's pool stage is over, but the women's are just beginning, with the first round on Monday, June 22nd and Tuesday, June 23rd. Don't miss all the BSPA Squash action next week.
