The Tour has its own points system, players collect points based on their performance and points allocation in the tournaments they participated.

The top players who attained most points might be invited to the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals at the end of the year. Moreover, ITTF world ranking includes the singles events, which are classified as R2 in rating weightings and B3 in bonus weightings, making the tour major competitions to advance in the world ranking.
