ITTF Morocco Open Live

Table Tennis action continues with the ITTF Morocco Open this week, and the players have paddles in hand and energies high to take on the best of table tennis and practice for upcoming finals and the Olympic Games in 2012. 

The tournament not only showcases the best of the men's and women's singles and doubles but also the boys and girls singles and doubles and under-21 tournament.   This is especially important as the very first Youth Olympic Games will take place in Singapore from August 14^th to the 28^th, 2010, and these young men and women will be practicing and qualifying for that occasion with this tournament.

Currently, the men's world rankings stand as follows: Hao Wang is at the top of the leaderboard and China's domination continues with all of the top five in both men's and women's world rankings being from there, with the exception of Germany's Timo Boll. Long Ma is in number two in the men's rakings, with Lin Ma in third place and Liqin Wang takes the fifth place spot in the men's. 

In the women's it is all China, with Yining Zhang in first, and Yue Guo in second place. Xiaoxia Li takes third place, while Shiwen Liu is holding the fourth spot. Yan Guo rounds us out in fifth places giving China total domination over most of the men's rankings and all of the women's top five.
