The world of table tennis awaits with bated breath as the ITTF presents the World Team Cup for 2009, which will be held in Linz, October 22^nd through the 25^th. This is going to be a great event and as these men and women travel to Austria to prepare for the biggest competition of the year in the sport of table tennis, the capital city of Linz awaits their arrival to play in the Inersport-Arena. The last World Team Cup event was held in Magdeburg, Germany, October 7^th, 2007, and China was at the top of their game for that year's event, winning the men's title by beating Hong Kong by three matches, the final being 3-0. That was the first time that China had won since 1994. The event was held again in 1995, where they finished in fifth place, and then it wasn't held again until the event in 2007.
