World Series of Poker 2009 Live

The 40^th annual World Series of Poker is live from Las Vegas this week, with Friday being the date of the Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Low split 8 or better, which the the 27^th event of this season. The month long series is coming to you from the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, with a total of 56 events before the big World Championship no limit Texas Hold 'Em. The buy in for the Pot-Limit Omaha High Low Split 8 or better is $5000. Another event on the same day is the $1,500 buy in no limit Hold 'Em event.

Last year, the event on the same place in the series was a $2500 buy in, held from the Rio. Kyle Hegeman walked away with the fifth place title, after winning $6 2,015 dollars. Fourth place was held by Alan Cunninghim with $76,205 while $94,599 was the amount that Greg Hurst won. Second place was taken by Kyle Kloeckner with more than $152,000 while Max Pescatori won the first place title of the Pot Limit Omaha High-Low with the total winnings in his pocket of $246,741. The prize pool last year for this event was a stunning $1,051,100 with a grand total of 457 entries.
