The NLL has been holding Indoor Lacrosse events since 1987 and this year is no exception. The National Lacrosse League will be hosting tournaments for teams all over North America, with 3 Canadian teams and 9 U.S. Teams, played all this winter with all the action finally culminating in the playoffs for the Champion's Cup.

Each team will play a total of sixteen games throughout the season, with eight of those being away games, and of course, the remaining eight played at home. Generally, the season will begin in the month of December and end in the late spring of the next year. Each division's top four teams are advanced to the playoffs, and then the two remaining in each division will play in the Division Finals with the final two teams battling it out two weeks later for the Champion's Cup.
The Champion's Cup winners from the past few years enjoy Lacrosse glory and include The Calgary Roughnecks in 2004, Toronto Rock in 2005 and Colorado Mammoth in 2006. In recent years, the Rochester Knighthawks won the title from the Arizona Sting in 2007 with a score of 13-11, and the Buffalo Bandits took out the Portland LumberJax 14-13 in 2008. The defending champions are the Calgary Roughnecks, who beat the New York Titans in 2009 with a score of 12-10.
