The format is relatively straightforward, with each team playing every other team once, with an alternating structure deciding who gets to play at home or away. If the team wins a game they get two points and one point is awarded for a draw. They get no points for a loss and there are no bonus points awarded. A Grand Slam is titled to a team that wins all of its games, and England has the record on Grand Slams with 12 thus far. Teams can also achieve a Triple Crown by any home nation beating any other three home nations. Wales and England both have won the Triple Crown title four times in a row and England has a record 23 Triple Crowns.
