Snowboarding Live

Snowboarding is a high-energy, super athletic sport that culminated from years of surfing, skiing and skateboarding. Pioneer snowboarders in the 60's and 70's began to think about a way to ski on the slopes, using a board with boot locks like skis. Snowboarding was born, and it became an Olympic sport in the year 1998.

Snowboarding events take place every year, with the major ones being: The Air and Style, a European Snowboarding Contest that was started in 1994, and holds events at the beginning of the year. Also, The Burton Global Open Series, The Shakedown, and the X-Games, which is a tournament of extreme action sports events.  

Anytime there is a snowboarding event to be seen, we'll be providing links for you to watch it streamed live. Some of the competitive snowboarding events include Slope Style which features competitors doing tricks while snowboarding down a course including moving around and jumping over obstacles such as boxes, rails, jobs or jumps and anything else the rider can slide across. Big air competitions are also exciting to watch, with riders performing tricks after jumping off of ramp jumps, then landing cleanly.
